The Man Behind The Mask

The Man Behind The Mask

The Miami Heat were pumped for their perceptions of the black mask and the man who wore it as well. Norris Cole player for the Miami Heat used the word "swag, and Dwyane Wade considered the "element of surprise" to be "pretty cool."The person behind the mask is Lebron James, its a black carbon-fiber mask that was used to protect his nose. Lebron James returned to action Thursday night after sitting out a week and led the Miami Heat to a 108-82 win over the New York Knicks. James had a game high of 31 points, but he also scored high marks with teammates for his choice of face gear. James was forced to wear the mask after suffering the injury during a Feb. 20 win against Oklahoma City, when midway through the fourth quarter, Thunder's Serge Ibaka struck him in the face on a drive to the basket causing him to break his nose. James told some of his teammates and the media he likely would wear a clear fiberglass mask similar to ones worn by several other players in the league to protect facial injuries. I personally think that the mask that Lebron was wearing looked pretty cool, he looked like he was bat man. Chris Bosh the center of the Miami Heat said "I think he played like Batman out there, I think it really helped him out. He played great." Lebron even said "Always wanted to save Gotham City from the corruption, criminals and untrustworthy." I think that the black carbon-fiber mask looks cooler then the clear mask. James expects to wear the mask for at least a couple more weeks, which he says he doesnt mind. Lebron James no doubt is one of the best NBA players, this face mask will not stop him for doing what he does best.
